The Sunshine Safety
Council, Inc. is a not-for-profit, non-governmental, safety and health
training organization. We are dedicated to promoting safety at home,
on the road, and in the workplace. The Safety Council is the original
local traffic school. We also provide workplace safety training to all
areas of business and industry. Classroom training is available in
Putnam, and Volusia Counties, as well as on-site for member
organizations. Web-based training is available as close as your
nearest computer!

EPA Rule; Renovation, Repair, Painting
(RRP) Becomes Effective 10/1/10.
Contractors working in homes built prior to 1978 and/or child-occupied
facilities are required to complete 8 hours of EPA approved training.
The Safety Council will offer the approved Certified Renovator Course
Thursday, 9/21 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. at our Daytona Beach office. 7.5
Construction Industry CEUs will be offered.
Cost is $300 Members, $325 Non-members.

We are the original
local provider of state approved driver improvement classes for court
or DHSMV satisfaction and point reduction. Classroom training is
scheduled throughout our service area. Select driver improvement courses
are now available online. Registration for DUI classes is also
available online.
The Sunshine Safety
Council's programs and services are governed by a Board of Directors
comprised of prominent business and civic leaders who voluntarily work
to create a safer community. Advisory committees provide voluntary
guidance for each department.
Mission Statement:
The Sunshine Safety Council identifies and addresses community safety,
health, and educational needs through training, services, and
products.
A wide variety of
occupational safety & health training programs are available for all
levels within your organization, including front line workers,
supervisors, and management. As an OSHA Alliance Member since 2005,
the Council can offer guidance and targeted assistance in compliance
efforts. Our Florida Department of Transportation Maintenance of
Traffic (MOT) programs is an important resource for both public and
private employers.
Corporate memberships
provide discounted services and training. Our extensive safety &
health Safety Products is a “Members Only” benefit. Additionally,
members enjoy the benefits of networking with other safety & health
